Attend high-risk vaginal and cesarian deliveries to provide immediate care upon delivery. Respond to code neonate and stork throughout the hospital in an emergent manner. Managed care of micro preemies to newborns, requiring advanced life support, oxygenation support, feeding assistance, blood sugar monitoring, and more. Educate parents and caregivers on home care and after NICU stay. Work closely with team members, including parents/ caregivers, attendings, respiratory therapists, OT/PT, charge nurse, social workers, and more. Closely monitor and manage care for micro preemie to 2 years of age. Management of babies requiring advanced life support, including high-frequency ventilator, conventional ventilator, nitric oxide, therapeutic hypothermia/ rewarming, advanced airway, and more. Provide evidence-based care for a variety of complex congenital or acquired conditions. Establish and maintain close relationships and communication between parents, caregivers, physicians, respiratory care, social workers, OT/PT, and the entire team.
